Karin Lang is a recent law school graduate with a passion for public interest and human rights. Karin attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis in American Politics. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Pepperdine School of Law. While at UCLA, she discovered her passion for human rights and decided to carry this passion with her to law school. She interned with Pepperdine’s Global Justice program in Kampala, Uganda, where she advocated for human trafficking survivors and prisoners awaiting trial. As a result of her work in Uganda, Karin was recognized by the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and awarded the WLALA Foundation Scholarship.
During law school, Karin was a member of Pepperdine’s Moot Court Team, where she competed in multiple national competitions. She was personally ranked as a top oralist in the National Emory Moot Court Competition. Karin has continued to participate in Moot Court by serving as a judge for competitions hosted by Pepperdine and UCLA.
