Kevin J. Farnan
About
Kevin Farnan is an experienced litigator who has been an advocate for clients facing uniquely challenging legal issues since 2019. From day one, Kevin’s legal career focused on advocating on behalf of clients whose legal needs arise from deeply personal circumstances that impacted their daily lives.
Between 2019 and 2021, Kevin was child dependency attorney representing parents in Children’s Court. Kevin guided parents through the process of making critical life changes to enhance their personal stability and that of their households, ultimately cultivating safe and supportive living environments in which to raise their children. His work helped keep families together, and his experience in serving those diverse families, in turn, helped him become a deeply compassionate legal advocate.
In 2022, Kevin made the decision to expand his practice to provide advocacy to people facing a variety of dynamic legal challenges. Over the years, the majority of his legal advocacy work was done on behalf of plaintiffs who had experienced harm by the government, specifically cases involving children who had suffered abuse in public schools and persons who had endured physical harm and civil rights violations at the hands of law enforcement.
In 2025, Kevin collaborated with a firm who represented an elderly tenant who sued his landlord after he was injured due to the landlord’s failure to repair his home. Kevin’s experience serving that client was extremely gratifying and left Kevin feeling compelled to focus his legal work on those who are forced to endure injustice in their own homes. After extensively researching the best of the best of California’s tenant advocacy law firms, he joined the team at Riley | Ersoff LLP.
Kevin graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2015, and from Loyola Law School in 2019.
