Litigation Associate
Riley | Ersoff | Rodas LLP is a leading Housing Rights and Toxic Torts firm based in Los Angeles—and we’re growing. We’re looking for Litigation Associates who are not just strong attorneys, but people who are deeply motivated to make a real difference in their communities and grow alongside a purpose-driven team. We will absolutely train the right candidate.
This is a role for someone who wants their work to matter. We represent children and families harmed by abusive landlords, unsafe housing conditions, and negligent property owners. Our cases include tenant rights, slum housing, lead poisoning, carbon monoxide exposure, tenant harassment, and other serious personal injury matters. The work is challenging, meaningful, and life-changing—for our clients and for our team.
Our firm is proud of the results we achieve, including recent successes like an $18M verdict in a carbon monoxide poisoning case. But what drives us is impact: helping families secure safe housing, create stability, send their children to college, and change the trajectory of their lives.

What You’ll Do:
- Litigate tenant rights and toxic tort cases from intake through trial
- Advocate for tenants facing unsafe and abusive housing conditions
- Handle all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, law and motion, and trial
- Work closely with and learn from experienced trial attorneys who are committed to mentorship and development
What We’re Looking For:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- A genuine passion for helping underserved communities
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career with a growing firm
- Proactive, thoughtful, and driven approach to legal practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus
