Catalina Rodas
About
Catalina Rodas is a fierce advocate for people who are being abused and ignored. As an immigrant, she knows what it means to navigate systems that work against you - and she has built her career on leveling that playing field. Whether she is taking on negligent landlords, confronting corporate misconduct, or guiding clients through high-stakes civil litigation, Ms. Rodas brings relentless preparation, and unwavering determination to every case.
Catalina earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Moot Court program, representing the school in competitions across the country. In 2009, she received the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles’s Student Leader Award for her work with victims of Domestic Violence. She is a 2018 graduate of the Trial Lawyers’ College, where she trained alongside some of the nation’s most accomplished trial attorneys. Catalina has earned a reputation representing the underdog and for finding the value in cases others do not see. Catalina finds leverage where others don’t, stands firm when it matters most, and never gives up. She has recovered more than $75 million on behalf of tenants who, without Catalina, would have nowhere to turn.
Catalina focuses her practice on housing rights, toxic torts, and civil litigation. She has played a meaningful role in elevating how habitability cases are valued - helping shift the conversation to the significant impact slum housing has on families and children. Catalina’s work demonstrates that the physical, emotional, and financial toll of substandard housing deserves full and fair recognition. In doing so, she has not only helped her individual clients rebuild their lives but has also contributed to broader accountability within the housing system. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she ensures her clients are not only represented -but understood, respected, and empowered.
Her leadership extends beyond her own cases. Ms. Rodas serves on the Board of Directors of the Consumer Attorneys of California and is the Secretary of the organization’s Women’s Caucus, where she actively contributes to advancing consumer rights and strengthening the trial lawyer community. She is also an active member of CAALA and the Women Lawyers’ Association of Los Angeles. In her spare time, Catalina enjoys creative writing, reading, and spending time with her family.
At her core, Catalina is driven by a simple belief - no one should feel powerless when their rights are on the line. She brings grit, skill, and conviction to every case, and she does not back down from a challenge.
